Nita
Born in Kenya to Asian parents, beauty therapist Nita Ladwa's
life and career has always traversed continents and cultures.
As a child she grew up in a household where traditional Indian
therapies were the practiced norm. At an early age her mother
taught her threading, the ancient art of hair removal, which
Nita was later to help pioneer in the UK. Nita's experience
as a therapist spans two decades over which time she has worked
for many of the top salons in Mayfair and Knightsbridge. At
ASHRAM Nita has created her own salon which combines established
Western beauty treatments with Asian techniques learnt during
her extensive travels through out the world in Thailand, China,
India and Japan. She is a member of BABTAC (British Association
of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology).She has demonstrated techniques
on BBC television and worked for magazines and on photoshoots,
as well as taught seminars to professional bodies on therapeutic
techniques. |
